Blanket Health Insurance

Covers group or association members exposed to the SAME risks at DIFFERENT times — the circumstances stay constant while the group's composition continually changes. Classic uses: a common carrier covering passengers, a school covering students or sports teams, an employer covering exceptionally hazardous work (e.g., a volunteer fire department). The group is the policy owner and no individual underwriting is required — but unlike other group insurance, individuals do not enroll and NO certificates of coverage are issued. Benefits go to insureds, their beneficiaries, or their estate (a minor's benefits may go to a parent/guardian/supporter).

The coverage blankets whoever happens to be on the bus, on the team, or on the fire crew that day.
