Business Overhead Expense (BOE) Insurance

Definition
Reimburses a small business for actual overhead expenses — rent, utilities, employee wages, leased equipment, a temporary replacement — while the owner is disabled, up to a monthly maximum. It does NOT replace the owner's lost income.
In plain English
DI keeps the owner's family fed; BOE keeps the lights on so there's a business to come back to.
Exam tip
Reimbursement of ACTUAL expenses up to the cap — not a fixed indemnity. Owner's salary: never covered.
