Defined Contribution Plan

Definition
The plan defines the CONTRIBUTION formula; the final benefit varies with contributions + investment performance. The EMPLOYEE bears the investment risk and chooses among plan investments; low cost/risk for the employer. Types: money purchase, profit-sharing, stock bonus, ESOP.
