Enrollment Period (31 Days)

Definition
Once eligible under a contributory plan, an employee has 31 days to enroll. Miss the window and the employee may have to provide evidence of insurability to join later.
Exam tip
31 days shows up twice in this chapter: the ENROLLMENT window to join, and the CONVERSION window when leaving. Don't mix them up.
