Restoration of Benefits

Definition
Provides that amounts paid for a loss do not permanently reduce the total benefits available for future claims. Restoration may be immediate (disability's per-claim benefit), at the end of a policy period, or via rider (e.g., LTC benefits restored after the insured recovers and stays claim-free for a defined period). Related provisions: the benefit payment provision states HOW benefits are paid (disability = periodic weekly/monthly; medical = reimbursement per expense), and the reductions in coverage provision confirms coverage isn't reduced after a loss — though lifetime maximums still apply.
In plain English
Using the policy doesn't shrink the policy — the tank refills.
