Small Employer Group Rules
Definition
Generally 2–50 full-time employees (30+ hrs/week; Florida's statutory floor is 1 employee, and F.S. 627.6699 counts 25+ hrs as eligible). HIPAA/ACA make small-group plans guaranteed issue — no refusal based on members' health history — with guaranteed renewal unless nonpayment, fraud, or participation failure.
