Evidence of Individual Insurability (Group)

A Florida group life policy must contain a provision stating the conditions under which the insurer reserves the right to require an eligible person to furnish evidence of insurability satisfactory to the insurer.

Group coverage usually skips the medical exam — but the policy must spell out exactly when the insurer may ask for proof anyway (think late enrollees or extra coverage).
