Group Life Grace Period — 31 Days
Definition
A Florida group life policy (standard provisions, F.S. 627.558–.565) must give the policyholder a grace period of thirty-one (31) days for payment of any premium. If a covered member dies during the grace period, the death benefit will be paid.

The employer gets 31 days of slack on the group premium — and a member who dies inside that window is still covered.
