Office of Financial Regulation (OFR)
Definition
The FSC office regulating all financial services not related to insurance: banks, credit unions, other financial institutions, finance companies, and the securities industry. Headed by the Commissioner of Financial Regulation and split into four (4) divisions: Consumer Finance, Financial Institutions, Securities, and the Bureau of Financial Investigations (its criminal-justice arm).
