Integrated Deductible
Definition
When major medical is packaged with basic coverage: amounts the basic policy pays COUNT toward the major medical deductible. Basic pays $4,000 of a $5,000 deductible → the insured owes only the $1,000 difference.
Exam tip
⚠️ Corridor vs integrated: corridor = insured pays the FULL deductible after basic benefits; integrated = basic policy's payments OFFSET the deductible. Big swing in the math.
