Morbidity Tables & Rates

Definition
Tables revealing the frequency, extent, and duration of disability expected within a given group. A morbidity rate is the average number of persons in a specific group expected to become disabled in a given year at a given age. Actuaries use these tables to compute health policy premium rates.
In plain English
The health-side twin of the mortality table: instead of predicting deaths, it predicts how often people get sick or disabled, and for how long.
