Post-Selection Underwriting Activities

Definition
The underwriting department's work once the application arrives: evaluating the risk using all appropriate information sources, then determining acceptability and classifying the applicant as a preferred, standard, or substandard risk (a substandard risk may be uninsurable or written at a higher premium).
