Pre-Selection Underwriting Activities
Definition
The agent/producer's work completing the initial application before it goes to the underwriting department: obtaining complete, detailed answers to all application questions (including personal physician information), providing insight about possible underwriting rating services, and stressing the importance of answering honestly.
