Reinstatement Provision
Definition
A lapsed policy may be restored (generally within 3 years) with proof of insurability + all back premiums + interest. Restores the original-age premium.
Exam tip
Starts a NEW 2-year contestable period but NO new suicide period. A surrendered policy can't be reinstated.
